In late 2023, Casey Plaizier and his wife, Celeste, decided to create an event that would bring together the Canadian Motorsports community during the off-season, when many racing enthusiasts were looking for ways to stay connected and get excited for the upcoming race season. They saw an opportunity to build camaraderie among fellow fans and professionals in the industry.

Casey and Celeste began by selecting a venue for their event and started reaching out to potential partners to make their vision a reality. They worked over the next three months to organize and coordinate the various aspects of the event, from logistics to marketing, and everything in between. This event was not just a typical trade show; it was a vibrant gathering that showcased the diversity and unity of the Canadian Motorsports community.

With RAD Torque Raceway as the Title Partner and DC Signs as the Presenting Partner, the Speedway Market boasted an impressive lineup of over 40 event partners, ranging from racing teams to equipment suppliers. The event spanned across 14,000 square feet, providing ample space for exhibitors to display their products and services. The Speedway Market attracted a significant crowd, with over 1,200 attendees flocking to the venue to explore the offerings and connect with like-minded individuals.

Amidst the excitement and buzz of the Speedway Market, one of the most memorable moments was the community’s generosity in supporting a noble cause. Through the proceeds generated from attendee admission, a total of $7,500 was raised in support of the Stollery Children’s Hospital.
